Tab Clear was a clear cola variation of TaB released in late 1992, and then discontinued in mid-1994. It was Coca-Cola's contribution to the short-lived "clear cola" movement in the early 1990s. It was Coca-Cola's competitor to Crystal Pepsi at the time.

History[]

Tab Clear was released in December 14th, 1992 in the U.S. A month later, United Kingdom released Tab Clear, and also Japan in March 1993 as well to initially positive results. A year later, Tab Clear was discontinued in all 3 countries. Japan was after only a short time of marketing Tab Clear, in Mid-1994. Unlike most other "clear" colas (such as Sprite), Tab Clear contained caffeine, and according to the company, it had the flavor of cola.
